Mark Perniconi is the Executive Director of the Charles Pankow Foundation and has held the position since the retirement of Bob Tener in June of 2012. Mr. Perniconi is responsible for managing the operations of the CPF including managing the evaluation process for research need statements and the award of research grants as well as coordinating the activities of the Board of Directors and Advisory Council.
Mr. Perniconi has over a 30-year career in the construction and real estate development industries. Mr. Perniconi had spent 13 years as a Vice President of the Pankow Companies managing the real estate development activities of the company. During that time, Mr. Perniconi worked very closely with Charles Pankow on matters related to company-owned real estate assets and development opportunities. Mr. Perniconi has also held executive positions with the W.M. Lyles Company in Fresno, California, The C.E. John Company in Vancouver, Washington and Westfield in Roseville, California.
A native of suburban Chicago, Mr. Perniconi holds BS and MS degrees in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from the Krannert Graduate School of Management at Purdue University. Mr. Perniconi is a Registered Civil Engineer and Licensed Real Estate Broker in California and a member of ACI. Mr. Perniconi has been a resident of Vancouver, Washington for the last 14 years.
