Charles Pankow Foundation Appoints New Executive Director

Providing the AEC Industry with a Better Way to Design and Build

MCLEAN, VA (June 7, 2023) – The Board of Directors of the Charles Pankow Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Colonel Stuart Harrison, PE, CFM, F.SAME, USA (ret) as the organization’s new Executive Director, effective June 12, 2023. The current president of FaciliTech, LLC, Stuart retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 2008 and has held several executive positions with architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) companies. The Foundation’s current Interim Executive Director, Mark Perniconi, PE, will remain active for a period of time to assist in the transition.

The Charles Pankow Foundation, in its 18th year, leads industry collaborations, funds research and projects, and delivers solutions that enable the AEC industry to advance innovation in the design and construction of buildings. As the Foundation’s new Executive Director, Stuart will work to advance the mission of Charles Pankow in a rapidly changing AEC industry and economy. Over the past 18 years, we have evolved as a provider of solutions to key industry challenges. We continue to expand the breadth of research topics and are now leading impactful efforts that both advance the AEC industry and provide tangible reductions in carbon emissions.
