The Charles Pankow Foundation (CPF) in partnership with the American Concrete Institute Foundation and the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute Foundation are pleased to announce the new research report, Normal and High-Strength Continuously Wound Ties, is available for free download.

This research was conducted at the University of Cincinatti led by Principal Investigator Bahram Shahrooz. The report provides results of physical testing required to understand behavior of members reinforced with continuously wound ties (CWTs) and compare their performance with conventionally reinforced members. The report also provides requirements to be satisfied to take full advantage of enhanced post-peak ductility offered by CWTs.
